Pam Kemp joined the City of Lawrenceburg in 2009. She served as Recreation Programmer for the Lawrenceburg Parks & Recreation Department for seven years before becoming the Director. Before joining the City of Lawrenceburg she worked in the Lawrence County school system and was the head girls basketball and softball coach at New Prospect Elementary School. Pam is responsible for management of a comprehensive city-wide parks and recreation programs, park maintenance, overseeing the budget and supervising department staff. She also serves as the staff liaison for the Crockett Theater Board and is an avid supporter of athletics in Lawrence County.
Pam graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1984 where she received her Bachelors Degree in Sports and Fitness Management. She was a four year starter for the Lady Lions basketball team and also a member of the women’s tennis team. Pam has three children Kelsey, Kelli and Kirk. She is honored to be the Director of the Parks and Recreation and will do everything to see that the citizens of Lawrence County have a multitude of activities to participate in. She states that it is her goal to enhance the parks in Lawrence County and provide various recreational opportunities for the citizens of Lawrence County.
