The shelter is expanding and has a good variety of dogs and puppies to choose from. You may access photos and information regarding all the dogs at the shelter by going to the Petfinder website. When you get to the site you need to select “find a shelter” then enter Lawrenceburg’s zip code (38464) in the space provided.
The adoption fee is $25 cash and will be refunded if the adopted dog is spayed/neutered within 30 days.
When calling in reference to a dog please advise the officer of the dog’s number and/or name to get further information regarding that animal. The shelter holds monthly adoption days that run on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., however, adoptions are welcome anytime the officer is at the shelter.
Our shelter also has a team of wonderful volunteers that help out at the shelter. With the hard work of these volunteers our shelter currently has a 92% adoption rate! If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact the Assistant Chief of Police Daren Goolsby for an interview.
