The Mayor and Board of Commissioners met in regular session on November 7, 2002. The following members were present: Commissioner Robert Pulley, Commissioner Bid Lindsey, Commissioner Buford Goolsby, Mayor Blake Lay and Commissioner Chris Gowen.
With a quorum present, the meeting was called to order.
The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
A motion was made by Commissioner Gowen to approve the minutes of the November 7, 2002 meeting, with a second by Commissioner Goolsby. Motion passed.
Mayor Lay announced that the Commission Meeting could be seen on Charter Communication Channel 6 at 7:30 PM on Thursday and 9:30 AM on Saturday, the week of the meeting.
Mayor Lay announced the Spirit of Santa Fund Raising event at City Hall will be on December 5th and 6th.
He also commented on the success of Aviation Days with over 2500 people in attendance at the two-day event.
Attorney Betz presented two resolutions for consideration.
Resolution # 2002-21-11A – To accept the bid of Wilson Oil company for fuel for all city vehicles in the amount of $0.045 above their cost for a period of one year. Motion to approve was made by Commissioner Pulley, with a second by Commissioner Gowen. Motion passed unanimously.
Resolution # 2002-21-11B – To accept the Master Plan Design for Bobby Brewer Memorial Park as envisioned and designed by the Ad-Hoc Committee. Motion to approve was made by Commissioner Goolsby, with a second by Commissioner Lindsey.
With no further business to come before the Board, a motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey to adjourn, with a second by Commissioner Goolsby. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
