City Administrator David Huseman informed the Commission that last week’s auction netted the city with $70,000.00 in revenue. The Police Department and the County will share at a rate of 50-50 on the sale of property obtained through drug seizures.
Mr. Huseman asked the press and the Beautification Board to encourage citizens and local business to maintain their property frontage, such as cutting or killing weeds and grass that may grow on the sidewalks, etc. This would help the city crew be more efficient by being able to dedicate their time to large projects, rather than many small ones.
With no further business to come before the meeting a motion was made by Commissioner Gowen to adjourn, with a second by Commissioner Goolsby.
